WE FINISHED THE BOOK OF MORMONV

My little family has been working on a system that would work with reading the scriptures. We started the Book of Mormon almost three years ago. Because of short attention spans we would do a column at night. We found that at night it would be hit and miss. Mostly miss. When school started this year we began reading in the morning while we were waiting for carpool to pick up. Dale was not able to be with us because he would have to go to work so we decided to wake up about 30 minutes earlier and do it first thing. It has worked well and we made it from Helaman to Moroni in less than three months. My kids are better readers now and we read a chapter or two a day. We were so excited to finish last week. We took the kids to High School Musical on Ice to celebrate. We have now started the cartoon version. The problem is that the kids like it so much they are about 30 pages ahead of us. We will start again the beginning of the year and hope to finish it in one year this time.
